Who will the Central Station Operator send to help me?

With Moran Medical Monitoring the choice is yours. When you push the PERS Unit Button, we will send whomever you request; the paramedics, a family member, fire department or police.

How fast can I receive service once I decide to try your PERS Unit?

After calling in your order for a PERS Unit, Moran Medical Monitoring needs 24 hour notice to fully enroll you as a member. Often times the service of your PERS Unit is started the same or the following day.

How much does the PERS Unit cost?

A Personal Emergency Response System (PERS) can cost less than .95 cents a day. Exact pricing varies based on customer need and features. For more information, please call a Moran Medical Monitoring representative and they will be happy to discuss the PERS unit pricing.

Do I own the equipment or is it leased?

To keep our rates competitive, we want to lease this equipment to you. After you are finished using the equipment, just return the PERS unit back to us and your deposit will be refunded.

Who monitors the PERS Unit calls?

Moran Medical Monitoring has it's own monitoring facility staffed with fully trained professionals, as opposed to volunteers or emergency room personal, will monitor your calls 7 days a week 24 hours a day.

If something should ever go wrong with my alarm, how do I get it fixed?

Your MMM is covered by our lifetime warranty for as long as you subscribe to our medical monitoring service. If you should ever have a problem, simply call our toll free number (866) 472-6450 and we will attempt to troubleshoot the problem with over the phone. If for some reason, we cannot resolve the problem over the phone, we will replace the unit for you at no charge.

Do I need to test my PERS unit and how often?

MMM suggests testing your unit at least once a month, but feel free to test it on a weekly basis, if you are more comfortable with that. There is no extra fee for this service.

Will your PERS Unit Service affect my special telephone features?

Moran Medical Monitoring PERS Service in no way affects any extra features you may have on your phone, ie, caller id and call waiting.

Can the PERS Unit Button be worn at all times?

Moran Medical Monitoring urges members to wear their Personal Help Button at all times. Our attractive PERS Unit Buttons are extremely lightweight and can be worn around the wrist or neck. What is the range of the PERS Unit Service?

The range of the PERS Unit varies from home to home. Our sales representative will do a range test to ensure your PERS Unit Button will work throughout your home, yard, mailbox, and driveway.

Will I be responsible for connecting PERS Unit Equipment or filling out paperwork?

Moran Medical Monitoring has trained service representatives that will set up the PERS Unit, show you how it works, and assist you on how to fill out the appropriate paper work required for your enrollment. All this takes place in your home at your convenience.

What kind of payment options do you offer?

For your convenience, Moran Medical Monitoring offers a variety of payment options. You can pay by quarterly drafts from your checking or savings accounts as well as Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

Do you have a 24-hour customer service line for my PERS Unit Service?

Yes! With Moran Medical Monitoring someone is always ready to answer your questions about our PERS Unit.

Do I have to subscribe for a minimum period of time if I choose Moran Medical Monitoring as my PERS Unit Service provider?

With MMM, the minimum use of time would be three months. After one month, you determine the length of your subscription. Your payments are made quarterly and you can cancel at anytime.

Will my help call go out if my phone is off the hook or I am on the internet?

If the phone connected to your communicator is off the hook, you have no worries, the call will go out. If an extension phone is in use or you are on the Internet, a special phone jack is needed in order to seize the phone line for your help call. Moran Medical Monitoring offers this phone jack at a small additional charge.

If my power goes out will the PERS Unit still work?

With MMM your PERS Unit will have a back-up battery which keeps the service functional during power outages. Once your power is restored, this battery will recharge to be ready for the next power disruption. There is no need for an annual replacement of the battery.

I have a rotary phone line, will that affect the system?

Not at all. Our system will work with either a rotary/pulse or tone phone line. Simply be sure to let us know when you subscribe that you have a rotary phone.
